Isla Iguana In Panama

So we took a little trip to a town called Pedasi. Off the coast of Pedasi there is an island called Isla Iguana. It is like going to a Caribbean Island. The water was turquoise blue and so clear!!! We went with a group of brothers and sisters that are here in Panama serving. For the locals, getting into the island is $4.00 but to foreigners it's $10.00ea. Not one of us was a local!! We were from Costa Rica, Mexico and the U.S. The good thing is that the guy who runs the island helped us out and let everybody pay like a local, only $4.00!!!!

...and this was our driver to the island. He was having a hard time turning on the engine of the boat, which put us a little nervous, but after several tries...Yayyyyy!!!! It started working!!

Like all good island goers, first thing we did was eat!!!!!

So now hopefully after seeing these pictures we will tempt you guys to come and enjoy the island feel with us!! :)

 

Pioneer meeting and Circuit Assembly in Panama!!

This is our very first assembly and pioneer meeting here in Panama. We are very excited!! Especially because we are going to meet more brothers in the area that are also need greaters.
The Pioneer meeting was amazing we had a 178 regular pioneers and 20 special pioneers attend this meeting. Brothers from many different places. We met brothers from, Mexico, Costa Rica, and even from Spain. Talks were amazing!! Justin and I had a little part in the meeting, an interview and a demonstration. Thanks to Jehovah everything came out pretty good!

These are our newly baptized publishers. They are the sweetest couple and so zealous for the truth!! They were so happy to be among the 21 baptized this day.

...and these are our pioneer partners here in Guarare all the way from Charleston, SC!! Awesome couple and very zealous in service. They are the reason we decided to come to Panama!!

This is the couple we met that are from Spain. They have been serving here in Panama for the last 2 years. They love the service here. Awesome couple!!

Oh yes!! The power went out in our assembly, we are starting to get use to this being a normal thing here in Panama. It went out for about an hour. Everybody was calm and the brother went on with the his talk. It was so good!!

More need greaters from Mexico and Costa Rica!

This bottom picture is another couple that came to Costa Rica for just a couple months and they have stayed now for close to 5 months!!! They love the service here and they told us that between both of them they conduct almost 40 studies!!!!

Overall this was a great assembly. We know that Jehovah knows what we need and when we need it. I certainly experienced that here in this assembly. Especially talking to couples that are here as need greaters and hearing their experiences of how great their service is and how much they enjoy it but also the challenges you encounter being in another country!! It was like Jehovah was answering my prayers, many of the feelings I was going thru I found out are normal and that everybody has gone thru this also. Jehovah recharged our batteries in this assembly. We are more convinced, more than ever, that we have made the best decision of our life serving Jehovah to the fullest and living the most simple life and believe me Jehovah blesses you so much with such loving and wonderful brothers and other blessings, that you don't miss the material things you left behind!! What a wonderful and loving father we have in Jehovah!!
